Elizabeth Sanders is Entrepreneur of the Month (October) for the Thames Valley Area

IMG_8335 - Entrepreneur of the Month

For me, it has been an amazing October.  Martin Norbury (& Chris Waters), Business Growth Advisors (BGA’s) presented me with the “Entrepreneur of the Month for the Thames Valley Area”.  Martin & Chris are the BGA’s for Nigel Botterill’s Entrepreneur’s Circle in the Thames Valley.  This is such an awesome award!  Doing things differently from my competition and loads of implementation, is what I did to earn this award.  Such a surprise after being in business for only 4 months.

When you start a new business, there is so much to learn.  Whether it is marketing, selling, preparing a business plan, understanding the numbers, getting customers, website, pricing, setting up accounts (such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs), follow-ups, testimonials, etc.  Sometimes it is hard to know where to start.

But start you must, one day at a time, one hour at a time.  Continual steps will make the journey.

It is important to meet with fellow entrepreneurs, whether it is through networking groups, one-to-one meetings, training sessions, etc.  It is very important to hang around people with whom you can learn from, can inspire you, and you can reciprocate.

It is important that you implement what you learn; your business will then grow and thrive.

Elizabeth Sanders is a Chartered Management Accountant on a mission to help the businesses of the Thames Valley be the very best that they can possibly be.
